Birmingham 6th-11th Sept 2014: The Smarter, Greener, Science City
This year, the British Science Association is bringing the British Science Festival to Birmingham, the city recognised as being at the forefront of scientific and technological advancement. In association with the Birmingham City University and Birmingham City Council and in partnership with the University of Birmingham, the Festival offers an unrivalled opportunity for the region to showcase its science and technology credentials to the UK and around the world.
The British Science Festival offers something for everyone and many of the events and activities are free! Birmingham City University has teamed up with Aston University and others to mark the opening of this year’s Festival.
Attendees at Millennium Point will get to hear from some of the UK’s top environmental experts about how Birmingham is leading the way in becoming a smarter, greener ‘Science City’.
Dr Rick Robinson from IBM will be the keynote speaker at the event on Wednesday 10 September, which will also see Birmingham City University’s Professor Kathryn Moore discussing HS2. Find out more about the event here.
