Birmingham Made Me Design Expo 2015 takes over Millennium Point…

BMM Box

The Birmingham Made Me Design Expo 2015, successfully attracted thousands of visitors and business leaders from across the city and showcased leading Midlands brands and our emerging design talent..

From the 15th to the 19th of June, the atrium of Millennium Point in Birmingham was transformed into a colourful and stylish showroom of balloons, cars and many other amazing products made in our city and region. The show stopping set up constructed by the 24 design team made visitors get out their cameras and smartphones and take pictures of the world class products and brands destined for global consumption.

Led by Birmingham City University and Idea Birmingham, the purpose of BMM was to showcase the very best of the Midlands economy and acting as a platform to bring together young designers and businesses as well as well-established companies such as Acme Whistles, Delcam, Jaguar, Morgan and many more.

On Thursday (18th June), history was made as Design Council hosted their first event outside of London in 70 years. It was held at the Birmingham City University’s Parkside campus. To finish off four incredible days of Birmingham Made Me delicious canapés and champagne was served from all angles on our successful networking event at Millennium Point where exhibition and Design Council visitors could mingle with some of midlands design experts and heads of major companies such as Andy Street from John Lewis.

We like to thank everyone involved in this year’s event and look forward to many more events celebrating and promoting Birmingham and the Midlands as the premier location for design and innovation.
